PREREG before code and run: exit from the sticky flat regime by similarity at the midpoint. In the regime every step halves; at each midpoint f(M) is compared with the two predictions, linear L = (FA+FB)/2 and flat 0; the regime is left when |f(M) - L| < |f(M)|. Ordinal, no constant; re-entry by the same flag. Stop rule X1-X3; X6 = the exit must beat the sticky midpoint without exit.
