PREREG before code and run: flat regime recognised by the model's unkept promise - after a model step that did not cross the root, r = f_new/f_old >= 1/4, the break-even of a tangent step against a halving at m = 2 ((1-1/2)^2). Stage 1 detectability (F1), stage 2 in the method only if stage 1 passes (Z1-Z5, stop rule).
