PREREG before code and run: remove the false promise 'the root is here'. Two models of which half holds the root: the step (S >= 1/2 -> the near half) and the bracket line (smaller |f| at the far end -> the far half); if they disagree, halve. Component 'half'; pairs without/with on none and the two accepted exp cells, +/- G2; H1-H4, goal kept; the post-crossing risk written down.
